It seems that Nancy Pelosi has acknowledged the blogosphere. Well, how very big of you, lady. One of her astute aides said that the blogosphere "exists". So now that we have been breathed into existence by Nonni herself (with help from Algore, of course), riddle me why she is only kissing the Left's ring. If she is so concerned about her image, given her interest in bi-partisanship, should she not have invited bloggers from both sides of the ether to the conference call she held to the exclusion of the Main Stream Media?
Because she recognizes that blogs are the political wave of the future.
Her future.
If that is to be, then all blogs should be given the same privileges as the MSM with regard to equal access to Congress. I don't know about Michelle, but I failed to receive my invitation to Nutroot Nonni's little conference call. That's because she was giving the exclusive scrotal tongue bath to the likes of DKos and HuffPo.
The blogosphere is seemingly populated by a younger demographic. Young people with little to lose or account for are, statistically speaking, Liberal. Liberals sit at their Macs and blog all day between trips to Starbucks and code writing gigs at Cisco, so they are practically paid to blog. Republicans, by contrast, make real things and employ real people. Quality blogs take time to build, but not much time to read.
So I reason that while the ratio of blogs to readers may vary from Left to Right, the total number of participants from both sides involved in the blogosphere is roughly equal.
To better illustrate this to a Conservative politician who may feel a bit intimidated by the power of the web, I have invented a little reassuring math equation to illustrate my theory.
See Dick. Dick is a Liberal. Dicks = ( d )
See Jane. Jane is a Conservative. Janes = ( j )
Blogging Liberals who have desk jobs in Sillyconehead Valley and are encouraged by their "enlightened environment" to express themselves with a blog= (99)
Blogless Liberals who read a Dick's blog = (1)
Blogging Conservatives who write a quality blog but still manage to make stuff and employ people = (1)
Blogless Conservatives who are too busy making stuff and employing people but read a Jane's blog = (99)
If (99 : 1) = d and (1 : 99) =j
Then d = j
See. There are technically no more Dicks than Janes, although it does feel that way sometimes. Now we just need to get our side of the aisle on board with the power at our fingertips. Contact your Representatives today and convince them that they need a dedicated blogosphere liaison for 2008 if they don't have one yet.
Because the Left is shooting this curl straight to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, and I'm not sure the GOP has even waxed its board.
I worship you, Jane, for many reasons, not the least of which is your reference to Nonni's exclusive scrotal tongue bath. :)
[JANE SAYS: Thank you, Stealthy. But don't you mean :-p ?]

Jane:
Thanks again for the link. Easy with the Wicked Witch's pic, tho- it scares the living crap out of the little kids.
Best regards,
