Hunky Husband got snowed in today. So I'm late with my post. No connection there. I had a great treatise on the Subcommittee on Energy and Air Quality's cancellation of their hearing on Climate Change due to an ice storm in the District, but it's Valentine's Day and did I mention Hunky Husband got snowed in?
The thing is, I despise red roses and the sentimentality of a Hallmark holiday foisted upon me by pop culture. I'm romantic that way. Deal with it. Lucky for me I am married to the world's most sentimental man. He loves me every single day like it was Valentine's Day. Love notes in funny places, sweet gestures that make me wonder why I am worth so much to a gentle man like him.
So enjoy the link above while I snuggle under my favorite blankie, drink unhealthy gallons of hot cocoa, and watch the Hallmark Channel boxed set of The Waltons third season that Hunky Husband surprised me with. Yesterday.
Too funny. Saw this over at HotAir also:"Maryville Univ. in St. Louis area cancelling screening of Al Gore’s ‘Inconvenient Truth’ because of a snowstorm." Poor Al.
My wife and I usually don't make a big deal of Valentines for the same reasons listed above. Although,I admit, I broke down and sent her flowers this year, which I haven't done in quite a while. Maybe I'm getting sentimental in my mid-life crisis. Of course I've been having a mid-life crisis since I 25,so I don't think thats it.
Happy V-day Jane.

"No connection there." Yeah right. Something tells me that when we go into another mini-ice age you two will be just fine.
[JANE SAYS: Yeah, you'll know where we are because we'll be dead center of the giant melted patch. ]

Enjoy your cocoa! I'm having mine with fresh goat milk. At least what the durn babies leave for me. Hope HH makes his way home okay.
[JANE SAYS: RUB IT IN, why don't ya? Have a DOUBLE, for me. And thanks for the visit on such a cold day. ;) ]
