Talk about big news at CPAC!

When I shook South Carolina Senator DeMint's hand and introduced myself, he informed me that we were related! Now, I know what y'all are thinking, everybody from the South is, but this is the real thing. Our tree has branches, as opposed to the traditional Southern stump.

I asked him if he would support folding the FAIR TAX into a possible Immigration bill to appease us rabid Conservatives that just can't swallow 30 Million new "citizens" without a way to pay for them. In his familiar Southern drawl he was all too happy to support the idea of a "National Sales Tax" for this purpose. He expressed serious reservations about the double taxation that might naturally occur if the 16th Amendment were not repealed in addition.

The Fair Tax is a bargaining chip that is underutilized by the far Right. Who among them is willing to stand up and admit that if an anchor baby is here to stay, it should at least support itself with a couple back loaded diapers?

"I'll be taking these here uh, Huggies...uh, and some tortillas."

I don't know how many times I've made that point to Senator Shelby re: illegals. (He's for the flat tax.) If you see your cousin again, tell him to have a chat with Shelby, maybe he can convince him.

Tornadoes coming through here today so I'll probably lose the internet when I get home, but keep up the good work and I'll be checking back as often as I can.
