Just a couple of comments and observations:
1. I can not believe I watched that trainwreck of a video clip.
2. Where is that child's father? My guess that young girl is the product of a baby daddy relationship.
3. Mom can not be too upset especially with those Susan Smith crocodile tears...
4. Where did that gangsta/playa child get her whore clothing? Most likely mom flipped the bill for it... the gurl certainly doesn't have a job since she is doing the nasty every waking moment.
5. Is this child beyond help and hope? If yes- she should be emancipated-- so she can roll her head and buy or steal all the baby clothes she wants... oh and eventually go on the welfare so we can support her. If the answer is no, then throw her in boarding school and get that girl to church and toss some some old fashioned discipline her way... starting with a trip to the switch bush in my granny's back yard.
[JANE SAYS: OHMYGAWD>>>Did your Grandmama make you pick your OWN SWITCH too? I thought it was just me. Must be a Southern thang. And yes, the video IS a train wreck. ANd I am sorry to say the biggest reason I am dropping out. We kicked God out of our classrooms and with HIm went EVERY shred of hope this coultry had to maintain its greatness. Now its not even "good".]

what does this situation have to do with having "kicked god out of the classroom"?
anyway, it really is a horrible trainwreck and i agree with much of what cathy says. i think (part of) the horror of this is the existence of shows such as 'maury' and people like maury povich himself and his staff who feed on and get rich off of the despicable lives and misery of others.
and, to be blamed as well, is an american public that is so bored with their own lives, so utterly vapid and uneducated that this is their only form of entertainment, and that with this awful and ugly voyeurism they essentially "create a market" (and an obviously thriving one at that) for this kind of trash. if this mother really cared about her kid, she wouldn't be going to "maury" ... makes me wonder, in the end, if it's all an act.
if not, then, well, i am (holy sh*t, not again) with c.janemom on this ... get the switch or off to military school with the girl. and the mental ward for the mother.

[JANE SAYS: If you trace the roots of what is wrong with the American public, as you stated (up top), I believe that it IS the removal of some recognition of a HIGHER AUTHORITY in society. NOT STATE RELIGION, just RECOGNITION. Society is PRIMARILY molded in our schools. Eight hours a day, 180 days a year for twelve years without ANY reminder that our "rights" (to everything we are so ENTITLED to these days) come from God, as CLEARLY illustrated by our Founding Documents, is too high a price to pay. We are just now cashing in the dividends of the Sixties. Welcome to life in a COMPLETELY MORALLY RELATIVE AMERICA.
Ain't pretty, is it?
And anita...I will forgive a LOT of dissension when you come here ONCE IN A WHILE and admit agreeing with me IN PRINT. It takes a lot more guts to do that, than to lurk and grudgingly nod. THANKS. ;)]
