There is no candidate in this race who has completely blown my skirt up, but many of you have asked me to hurry up and call the ball. Will this help?
No President of mine should walk on water, but his feet had better be damned dry.
No President of mine should have bigger buddies in business than he has from his hometown church.
No President of mine should expect to lead from the rear and maintain the devotion of his Base.
My man in the White House should do three simple things. Without these primary needs met, the internal gripe list headed with abortion, prayer in schools and ten kinds of yadayada is moot.
1. My President should stand for Life, Liberty and the aggressive Pursuit of anyone who would dare threaten it.
2. My President should draw a razor thick line in the sands of the Southwest and toe it with unapologetic authority.
3. My President should be telegenic enough to pronounce the word "nuclear" correctly while simultaneously finding IRAN on a map with his button finger. Blindfolded.
Anybody close?
Maybe.
GO HERE FOR THE TAPED INTERVIEW THAT OUR NEXT PRESIDENT WAS NICE ENOUGH TO GIVE TO THE HOOVER INSTITUTE. (h/t Cotillion sister, Ith at Absinthe and Cookies)
Holy CRAP that was awesome!
Everything I've read that he's written, everything I've heard him say, tells me he is the only one in the race who is saying things that desperately need to be said. He's our man.
And I'm SO glad he's got your attention too.

What's your excuse for not having an "I'm With Fred!" blog banner already?
[JANE SAYS: NONE, SIR! I have not done blog housekeeping in SOoooooOOOo painfully long, it is EMBARRASSING. I need to dig up my smaller CPAC banner, then add the FRED button beneath it. TASK MASTER! ;) ]

I like Fred Thompson, but....he needs to get on board with the Fair Tax, dammit! I could go on and on, but I won't (your welcome). The income tax system has to go. I haven't heard him address the Fair Tax, if anyone has please post a link.
I guess it will be on my tombstone "She tried but she couldn't do it. Scrap the code!"
[JANE SAYS: I CAN TELL YOU THIS>>>> I am a HUGE supporter of the FAIR TAX, but I MUST TELL YOU , the FLOOD of immigrants and this AMNESTY BILL WILL GUARANTEE WE WILL NEVER , EVER, EVER get that concept on the table. You think its dead NOW? KEEP PLUGGING, girl. YOU are NOT ALONE. Too bad most , even Conservative Americans do not possess even a RUDIMENTARY Economics education, so they fear it. AND without SPECIFIC PROVISIONS for repealing the 16th Amendment FIRST, it is a tough sell.]

"No President of mine should have bigger buddies in business than he has from his hometown church."
Does Fred even go to church? I saw someone posted a reward if a member of a church could swear to seeing Fred there in the past however many years. So far, no takers for the money.
[JANE SAYS: James Dobson has already been down that road, and frankly, the way I phrased it was not to EXCLUDE him if he does not GO to church, just "no bigger buddies". It follows that if he DOESN'T go to a church (and he very well MAY NOT) then I can ABSOLUTELY BE SURE THAT TYSON FOODS won't be in his pocket. See how that works? ;) GOOOOooo DAWGS! I am for Fred. He shines while the current crop wilts in the sunlight of campaigning. He must be good, because people have already started the nitpicking, even before he has started a campaign.
I do have one complaint though. I don't think Fred will walk onto the senate floor and knock Harry Reid out stone cold, but that's a little thing. I guess.
[JANE SAYS: But a damn fine requisite, if I do say so. ;) ]

OUTSTANDING! AMEN!
A special thanks for sending me to the Hoover interview. I have a lot of respect for Fred and absolutely ZILCH for the entire cadre of politicos running under the early GOP banner. I hope McCain (especially) and Hootie-Tootie-Rudy are squirming in their leather recliners right now...
This post is precisely why I enjoy popping in to read your thoughts as often as possible. YOU nailed it, sister!
[JANE SAYS: Popping in is always free on every day that ends in "Y"! ]

Right on!!!
And to Stealthkix, who said: "he is the only one in the race who is saying things that desperately need to be said. He's our man."
You've got that 100% right.
My personal campaign slogan for Fred is three words : "He Gets It."
Go Fred!!! Go FredHeads!!!

I was leaning to Rudy ...
But now that it seems certain Fred is going to run I'm on board.
Every woman he has ever dated has nothing but good things to say about him!
[JANE SAYS: JACK>>>>I have never dated him...THAT YOU KNOW OF...and I have nice-ISH things to say...COINCIDENCE??]
