The two sisters in our group (one terribly drunk) were busting on sister Michelle Obama's "dirty kitchen" and made the same observation. Two clicks later...

Jane, being cynical again. SURPRISE.

For about the TWELVE THOUSANDTH time, I have witnessed the "Mainstream" Righty blogosphere blatantly STEALING ideas from many of us little guys, passing them off as their own, with NO CREDIT OR REGARD for their origins, then sometimes even luxuriating in the resulting tongue baths from the REALLY BIG MEDIA GUYS for their stolen brilliance.

Though I have heard grumblings and witnessed it (at least six times I can remember, and to me, personally, TWICE), it is happening with shameless frequency as the election cycle revs. A stint at J school surely includes a chapter on plagerism. But some of these assholes are just "famous", not real pencil necks, so it is understandable that they are just cut and paste hacks. Its an Obamanation. (Lets see how long THAT takes.)

Perhaps that is why I am more than anxious than ever to "shrug" and take my creativity (how ever meager) off the Net entirely>>>from EVERY venue. No more salient comments, no more thoughtful blog, no more paid "back work" for the big sites, no more pen names>>>NO NOTHIN' from this Jane.

Google "McCain vice president" and see who comes up number four in the search. It ain't because I don't get read, linked and FILCTHED. DAILY.

Barack Obama Drama: Slinkin' to John Edwards' woodshed to grab some Southern Comfort

A Barack Obama / John Edwards ticket will be powerful stuff for sure. Get your bumper stickers ready, y'all, its comin'.

I had drinks with a Carolina political insider over Christmas holiday and we mused at how John Edwards was in it for the corner office at the Executive Office building, and not for "the little people" he so fondly drawls on about. So it is no surprise to me that Barack slipped down to John Edwards'  Second American estate this weekend to press the flesh and horse trade over the exact date that Edwards will endorse the Manchurian Messiah Obama will announce his choice of Edwards for his Vice President after he mops the bar with the White Rag.

Barack Obama may be the smooth, amber tonic the Left has thirsted for, but there is no way that old school white Southern male Democrats will put a green Black man in the Oval Office and coarse White woman one heartbeat down the hall. Not going to happen.

This election cycle, like every other before it, requires a smooth blend of vanilla, white bread and pine with an afterglow of honey to intoxicate a fickle Southern electorate. And Barack Obama knows it.

Sick as it is, that is the way most Black Americans have been politically bred by their Liberal Plantation masters--to depend on a white boy---however fruity--- to legitimize even the smallest efforts at Black sucess. Hillary Clinton nakedly admitted the Left's nefarious disdain for Black Americans with her smug Lyndon Johnson comment.

Barack Obama knows too well that he can't get elected by his racist Democrat party without the fiery secret well hidden on 102 acres clear cut from the Carolina woodlands, the smoothest kind of  white lightnin', John Edwards.

I'm not sure which bothers me more, Michelle Obama berating our future President this week to "FEEeeeel, don't THINK!" or her insistance on The Oprah's show last year that he wasn't intellectually fit to choose favors for his daughter's birthday party.

So I was not surprised when I asked a pinched Obama supporter seated at STARBUCKS what the man behind her oversized lapel pin actually stood for and all she could (for real, y'all!) sputter was, "Hope."

I crisply retorted that "I have hope too. Does that make me fit to be the Leader of the Free World?"

"That all depends on what you hope for," she replied with an affirmative sip of her Tall (and prophetic) Mocha Latte.

I raised my bottled water and offered, "Well...here's hoping that Michelle Obama is only half the President Hillary was."

EXIT QUESTION: So when Barack Obama sits in the Oval Office, will Affirmative Action FINALLY end???

Objectivism Makes a Comeback : Free Thinkers Think FREELY And Kiss Off The Republican Party For The Last Time

October of 2007  was the fiftieth anniversary of Ayn Rand's stunt classic cult novel about life, for better or for worse, in a truly free society.

So last October, as I stared down my fortieth year on the third rock, I re-read ATLAS SHRUGGED for the third time. I wanted to celebrate Ayn Rand's genius, and try to re-focus my own. Hunky Husband had never read it, so he plodded through it and many lively discussions have been stirred around our dinner table since. Seeing my (certifiably) genius teenage kid taking up the banner is exhilarating.

As the Republican party dissolves into mediocrity, I have settled on a new home in a place where I will choose to withdraw my creative efforts from all political struggle, harness my  limited resources and energy for the sustenance of my own family and small sphere of influence.

I refuse to play politics by voting for human debris of either party.

I have never felt 100% comfortable with the elephant, though I have pushed and pulled it since I was fourteen years old. Over HALF my life.

No more.

Wheat prices are surging. Can you grow a garden?

I can.

Get yourself out of debt. Stop shopping to soothe your anxiety. I know you do it. I have done it.

No more.

You are here because you are smart enough to know there is something wrong. Something gravely, gravely wrong and no amount of my personal glorification and career progression is worth ignoring my family's very immediate needs.

When I attended CPAC last year, I was very afraid of the Wizard Behind The Curtain. And when I saw "him", I came away knowing that all the scurrying around opining was hopeless. They invited me back , but I had to decline for the very reasons that I thought I had to go.

I love my friends in the blogosphere and I have made some VERY AMAZING CONTACTS to be sure. Some will chide me as a quitter. Piss on them. Logic simply will not allow me to ignore the signs that God (and yes, I believe in a Creator, in spite of my Objectivism) is giving me to prepare for the coming storm.

It is time to build an Ark my friend, because the skies have opened and we are soaking wet.

Prediction For McCain's Vice President: Jane's Homeboy, Mark Sanford

This time last year, while I was a CPAC,  John McCain's guys (Patrick Hines!) were practically invisible, sneaking off to a parallel universe of cocktail parties and making  excuses for their altogether absent leader. Fine, we all thought, he got the memo that he is no friend of the used and abused Conservative Right and he'd best not show his grizzled face.

Now I will relish the boos that will certainly resound from the  CPAC hall when Tom Coburn quits blowing sunshine up his briefs, calling him "his friend", and trying not to gag.

If there are no "BOOS", (along with painful personal reasons) I will have decided correctly to eschew the invitation to this year's Conference, in the face of the reality that our Republican party is but a broken line up of political whores.

As I have said before, my heartburn with supporting Fred Thompson was my apprehension that he was only in it as a shill for McCain.  Since Fred has yet to endorse anyone since his exit, he seems like an obvious choice. But I say too obvious.

With my ear to the ground at home, I predict here (as I correctly predicted one year ago (to much ridicule) that Huckabee (who?) would place in the top two in South Carolina) that McCain will tap my own Palmetto State Governor, Mark Sandford as his South facing window dressing. No one wins the Big House without us Blue Ridge Bible thumpers. Like it or not, Juan.

The toothy, folksy, but very well heeled Governor of South Carolina would be the only thing that will bring this Conservative military spouse to the voting booth this November. Because as I have said before, when the wheels come off the bus in two years, I want a DEMOCRAT behind the wheel.

John McCain is one heroic bastard to be sure. Accent on the bastard. But having met him at numerous Marine Corps receptions inside The Beltway, I am always struck by the oxygen that is sucked out of the room upon his arrival. Mark Sanford is the levity John McCain needs right now. But also knowing Mark Sanford, if he does accept this ill-timed invitation, it will be with much trepidation to the future viabilityof his own political aspirations.

As I watch his CPAC crow fest, I only hope that McCain has the tact wait until tomorrow to bend Huckabee over the railing now that he has served well in his role as useful idiot. I only hope he kisses him first.
